Joel Douek Scores for Film and Television

Joel Douek recently scored History Channel's documentary specials "Predator X" and "The Link", as well as The CW's animé series "Yugioh 5D". He wrote the score for the short film "The Last Mermaids" that won Special Jury Mention at the 2009 Tribeca Film Festival and the Gold Medal for Best Documentary at the Student Academy Awards. Joel also scored the much anticipated feature "The Wildest Dream", orchestrated by MPA member Greg Pliska and recorded in Prague, New York and LA. Joel composed and produced the music for MTV's "Engine Room" and its "Axe" and "March of Dimes" ad campaigns. His production and arrangement of Nat King Cole's "Brazilian Love Song" was recently released on EMI's "Re:Generations", featuring Brazilian Singer Bebel Gilberto. Finally, Joel Douek, Greg Pliska and Mike Benoit scored the Discovery Channel Shark Week kick-off feature, “Blood in the Water”, which premiered Sunday, August 2.
