Brett Benge

Brett Benge is a composer residing in New York City. Schooled in music composition, music technology, and voice, Brett relocated from his home state of Montana and specializes in music for film, theatre, television, and gaming. Brett has written music for countless theater productions, short films, and advertisements. His music has aired on national television, has been heard by thousands online, and has been featured in Boston's historic theater district.

From 2002 to 2007, Brett resided in Boston, Massachussetts. There he worked for Cakewalk Music Software and became an expert in audio and MIDI production. He served as musical director for The Tribe, a Boston-based arts collaborative where he wrote or arranged nearly all the music used in its venue in the theater district. He served on the organizations advisory committee and even founded his own five-piece vocal ensemble, Inner-d. During his tenure with The Tribe, Brett became known for his ability to deliver professional quality music that always fit the bill in a very short turn-around time. He innovated techniques that allowed pre-recorded tracks to be used with great flexibility even in live improvised performances.
